Malaria
Don't mess with malaria. If you are visiting a malarial region, consult a pharmacist or doctor for the best anti-malarial medication for you. Avoid wearing perfume or after-shave, wear long sleeves and trousers at night. If you get flu symptoms 10 days or so after your visit, see a doctor - immediately...

Shopping
Most of the bigger cities have modern, international class shopping malls that are open on Saturdays and Sundays. Almost everything the international shopper would want to buy is available, along with a wide array of African artifacts. You can truly shop 'til you drop.
