Murchison Falls National park is Uganda’s oldest conservation area that was first gazetted as game reserve in the year 1926 and established as national park in year 1952 .The popularly visited park in Uganda is position at an estimated distance of 311 kilometres by road following the northwest direction from the capital city of Uganda Kampala. The park lies in the coordinates marked as 02 15N, 31 48E. It’s one of the parks in pearl of Africa Uganda where tourists can have and enjoy wilderness encounter in the whole of Africa.

Murchison falls national park is the only park in Uganda endowed with all the big five wild animals but within the park premises only the big four can be easily found and these include the King of the Jungle (Lion), Cape buffalo, African big Elephants, as well as the Leopard. In the present day, White Rhinos are being bred again in an estimated area of land 7,000 hectares (27 sq. mi) Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, The sanctuary which is located in the southern part of the Murchison falls park and can only take visitor an estimated distance of 70 kilometres (43 mi), south of the park. MFCA and adjacent Budongo Forest reserve contain 76 Species of mammals including the giraffes, bushbucks, etc. In the other areas that form the Murchison Falls conservation area, there are remarkable Primates species and these include the olive baboons mostly seen along the route as well as the Red and blue tailed monkeys, white colobus commonly got in the forest areas.
